The Big Fight Night (BFN) Promotions has today officially started operations in Uganda with a press briefing and unveiling of a standard ring at an event held on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at Old Kampala Arena.

The press briefing was aimed at creating awareness of BFN, an entity that is targeting to promote fighters of different Sports disciplines (Kick boxing, Mixed martial arts, grappling, boxing etc) throughout the country and the equipment (the ring) one of it’s kind in the country that will be used in the promotion exercise.

The event was graced by the Kampala Central mayor and the president Uganda Pofessional Boxers Commission Mr Salim Uhuru as the chief guest.

Uhuru, who was delighted with the initiative by an individual, applauded BFN Chief Executive executive officer Bosco Omaria and the team for the love of the game and great work towards development of the fight sport(s).

I want to thank my brother Omario the BFN CEO, you have done a great job, you have made us proud, I want to thank my brother the CEO Kicking boxing who is here, the coaches available, this is a great opportunity to be here as a chief guest to unveil this beautiful ring around, it is a challenge that you have given us. Am here in two capacities as the mayor and president and i want to thank you on behalf of all the boxers.

This initiative you have done or investment, we had very few rings, mainly we used to hire from UPDF, the last time I saw a fight in Jinja the ring collapsed. I came earlier and saw the workmanship and am pretty sure I can stand here proud and say this is really good for the sports people to take advantage of.

We are very, very grateful that Big Fight Nights (BFN) has come on to promote fighters on a consistent basis. The private sector understands business and this should be encouraged. We are committed to provide support to see that this sport can be taken to the higher level.

The initiative (BFN) is intended for extremely gifted & devoted fighters with the purpose to nurture them into paid professional ranks as well as boost appreciation and entertainment through this sport. The fighters will be prepared, coached mentored, and counselled after fights on lessons to pick on their fighting tact on the offensive, defensive, and other aspects of the game.

” We started BFN registered as BFN promotions to promote the sport of fight, we saw that the fight sport is one in the country that has immense talent, its readily available though there some challenges we cant control as human being so we thought we can come in as a private entity to add on those that have already put the block on the sport.

We are previledged to say we are here to join hands with the federations and individuals to take the sport to another level.

BFN vision is to turn fight sport into a lucrative business in Africa with a mission to impact lives through fight sport.

BFN promotions is also looking at giving the young boys and girls chance to fight to be rocognised, mentoring fighters into investment.

According to BFN implematation startegy, the first phase of the activity is to identify potential persons to support technically ant tactically with coaches around, the PR, Marketing, events which is half way done and the equipment (the ring) also secured.

The Brand sense team is also looking at training the youth to make them improve, create career opportunities for the fighters because FBN plan is to have fights occassionaly.

Brand Sense is also willing to partner with people interested in the sport, because BFN promotions needs support and partners on board. The sponsors and partners will bring in money.

BFN promotions is also looking at Capacity building that many Ugandans including journalists, fans acquire technical knowledge of the fight sport.

State of the art Fight Ring that was unveiled

The unveiled Ring cost BFN promotions approximately Ug Shs 60 million, its an international standard ring that measures 24×24 feet and the inside Arena measures 19×19 and it accommodates any fight sport with a height of 8 feet.
